It has four terminals and two main runways. Heathrow is easily accessible by cabs including black cab taxis or private taxi hire. Do note that private taxi hire like ours is likely to get you a better price than the traditional black cabs which can anyways - not be pre-booked.
Other Information
Terminal 1 is for all domestic flights, most UK departures to Europe plus EL AL and SA Airways. Terminal 2 is for most non-UK carriers' flights to Europe and some long haul destinations. Terminal 3 is for long haul flights in US, South American, Asian and Asia Pacific airlines. Terminal 4 mainly handles BA and Concorde flights. Heathrow is located 22 Km west of central London, England, near the southern end of the London Borough of Hillingdon .
Flight Check In Times
For long flights which is mostly non european flights you need to check in 3 hours before scheduled departure time of your flight.
For most European flights you would need to check in 2 hours before your scheduled departure time. For flights within the UK and Ireland you need to check in 90 minutes before your scheduled departure.
Baggage allowances are determined by the airline which you are flying with hence advisable to verify first before packing.
